To the Honorable City Council:

The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council appropriate $170,000 from the Unreserved Fund Balance ("Free Cash") to the Capital Stabilization Fund for the purpose of additional money for the site preparation, construction, and furnishing of a safe consumption site, which will now be known as the Overdose Prevention Center.

The original appropriation of $827,000 as contained in Council Order 23-0325, needs to be supplemented as the decision has been made to purchase a modular unit as opposed to renting.

Appropriate staff will be available to address any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item.
