To the Honorable City Council:

The City Solicitor and/or her designee requests permission to appear in executive session per G. L. c. 30A, Section 21(a)(3), along with outside legal counsel from Brody, Hardoon, Perkins & Kesten, LLP, to discuss Melo v. City of Somerville, U.S. District Court No. 1:18-cv-10786-RGS.  Discussion in the open session of the council meeting may have a detrimental effect on the City of Somerville's negotiating position and litigation strategy.
