To the Honorable City Council:

The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council approve the creation of a Consolidated Gift Account under the provisions of MGL Ch. 44, Section 53A, to accept donations from organizations, businesses, and corporations for the Vietnam Moving Wall event hosted by the Department of Veterans Services on Veterans Day Weekend (November 10th to November 14th).

The Veterans Services Department is expecting a number of donations to be received in the next few weeks.  These funds will be used to purchase necessary items needed to organize, run, and operate the event including materials and refreshments.

Appropriate staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item.
