To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $108,226.71 from Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) to Health & Human Services, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A.
The purpose of this grant is to pay for the position of Shared Services Coordinator, Payroll Taxes/Fringe Benefits and Administrative Costs for the City of Somerville.
This grant was originally awarded to HHS from DPH for FY22, FY23 & FY24 but was transferred in FY22 & FY23 to MAPC. MAPC is now awarding HHS a grant to fund the Shared Services Coordinator position that will work with Somerville and Arlington, along with Fringe Benefits/Payroll Taxes and Administrative Costs for the City of Somerville.
