Requesting Approval to Extend the Contract of TBA Architects, Inc. to 12/31/10

To the Honorable Board:

In 2006, TBA Architects, Inc. and the City of Somerville entered into Contract #07-100 for House Doctor architectural services.  TBA Architects, Inc.’s House Doctor contract has been renewed each of the last three years and extended previously to August 31, 2010.  Due to an extended design phase, I request you submit to the Board of Alderman, in accordance with §2-369 of the Somerville Code, a request to extend Contract #07-100R3 to December 31, 2010.   This extension will allow the City to continue working with TBA Architects, Inc. to bring the 42 Cross Street project to completion.  There is no additional financial consideration for this extension.
