To the Honorable City Council:

I am requesting immediate consideration to appear with the City Solicitor before the City Council in executive session per G. L. c. 30A, section 21(a)(3), to discuss the proposed settlement of opioid litigation in the Purdue Pharma bankruptcy case.  Discussion of this matter in open session may have a detrimental effect on the litigating strategy or negotiating position of the City of Somerville.
