To the Honorable Board:
Agenda Item 197398
That the Director of Traffic and Parking and/or the Commissioner of Public Works install a sign with flashing lights at the intersection of Morrison Avenue and Highland Road, to ensure safety for the children crossing to get to Lexington Park and the Community Path.
A blinking Pedestrian Sign will be installed at this location.
Agenda Item 197399
That the Director of Traffic and Parking and the Traffic Engineer consider bicycle sharrows on Central Street between Highland Avenue and Broadway, and report to the Ward 5 Alderman on their feasibility.
The location and schedule for the placement of bicycle sharrows and bike lanes by the City’s pavement marking vendor is determined in late winter/early spring consultation with SPCD and the SBAC. The schedule is complete for this pavement marking season. Bicycle sharrows will be installed on Central Street between Highland Ave and Broadway in Spring/Summer 2015.
Agenda Item 197404
That the Commissioner of Public Works install a NO PARKING IN BUS STOP sign at the bus stop on Elm Street in front of Dunkin Donuts, and that the Chief of Police and the Director of Traffic and Parking enforce this restriction.
This is a relocated Bus Stop due to structural work ongoing in the vicinity of the original Bus Stop. The parking meters at the relocated Bus Stop are bagged with a No Parking symbol. This is also a defined route for Parking Control Officers. All observed vehicles parking at this location are issued citations.
Agenda Item 197434
That the Director of Traffic and Parking place a pop-up caution sign in the crosswalk by Albion Park.
A Pedestrian Impact Recovery System has been installed at this location.
Agenda Item 197448
That the Director of Traffic and Parking install a temporary road block on Everett Avenue.
Traffic and Parking needs clarification as to why and when and what for a “temporary road block” is required.
Please contact me with any questions.
