240 Pearl St is on an assigned Parking Control Officer’s route. All vehicles parking in a restricted zone are issued citations when observed.

Agenda Item 197965

Pedestrian Impact Recovery Systems were installed at the above intersections as a supplemental traffic control device in June of this year. Since the installation of the first Pedestrian Impact Recovery System, due to loss or vandalism two other additional Pedestrian Impact Recovery Systems have also been installed.
Due to the multiple requests and the fact that does not have sufficient Pedestrian Impact Recovery Systems in inventory to continuously replace these supplemental traffic control devices at these locations Traffic and Parking is researching a more permanent solution for these areas and plans on implementing the new initiative in the spring.

Agenda Item 197973

That the Director of Traffic and Parking analyze the traffic signals in Magoun Square and report to the Ward 5 Alderman whether any changes can be made to facilitate traffic flow, especially cars backed up on Medford Street during the evening rush hour.

Agenda Item 198078

That the Director of Traffic and Parking consider improving the safety of the intersection of Highland Road and Boston Avenue and report any possible improvements to the Ward 5 Alderman.
