Somerville Board of Aldermen - Supplemental Orders for 6/12/14 Meeting

ORDER                                          97.                      Order                      By Ald. Heuston

That the Commissioner of Public Works inspect the tree at 19 Rose Street and take appropriate actions if the tree is deemed unhealthy and/or a hazard to residents.

RESOLUTION                     Arborist is in the city on June 18^th to look at this.  Ticket#292429.

That the Commissioner of Public Works repair the tree well at 25 Rose Street so that it does not present a hazard to pedestrians.

RESOLUTION                                          This will be complete by Friday, June 27.

                     That the Commissioner of Public Works repair the clock in the Argenziano School                      cafetorium.

RESOLUTION                     Simplex has been working on it to resolve this issue.

That the Commissioner of Public Works repair the broken door at the Argenziano School leading to the cafetorium.

RESOLUTION                     Contractor has been contacted and work on these doors should start by July 1^st.

That the Commissioner of Public Works inspect the double poles at 13 and 23 Dane Avenue regarding an oil-like odor and have said poles removed and replaced if necessary.

That the Commissioner of Public Works address the tangle of wires in the tree at 48 Dimick Street.

RESOLUTION                     Wires have been addressed.

That the Commissioner of Public Works direct Verizon to remove 2 large unused utility boxes, marked with graffiti, from the side lawn of the West Somerville Neighborhood School, adjacent to 10-12 Raymond Avenue.

RESOLUTION                     Will have our Lights and Lines Dept. inspect and notify the proper utilities.

That the Commissioner of Public Works remove the weeds and mow the grass at the West Somerville Neighborhood School as it is growing onto the adjacent property at 10-12 Raymond Avenue.

RESOLUTION                     This has been completed.                     

ORDER                                          109.                      Order                      By Ald. McWatters

That the Commissioner of Public Works replace the hot top sidewalk at 26 Bow Street with cement.

RESOLUTION                     Will be completed by Friday, June 20.

ORDER                                          110.                      Order                      By Ald. Connolly, Niedergang

That the Commissioner of Public Works repair the sidewalk and curbing at Lowell and Wilton Streets.

RESOLUTION                     This involves a handicap ramp.  We will work with Engineering to secure a contractor to make the repair.

ORDER                                           111.                      Order                      By Ald. White Jr., Lafuente, Sullivan

That the City Engineer review drainage on Shore Drive, especially with storm water runoff during heavy rains, particularly at the corner of Shore Drive and Putnam Street, as well as the impact of development at Assembly Square on the sewer outflow line.

RESOLUTION                     This response is being prepared by Engineering and will be submitted by Friday, June 27^th.
