To the Honorable City Council:

At the request of Councilor Davis, I hereby re-submit the language below to rescind the acceptance of G. L. c. 48, §§ 59B, 59C and 59D, establishing a reserve fire force. In order for the rescission to take effect, the item requires a vote of the City Council, and approval of the Mayor, pursuant to the process set forth in G. L. c. 4, § 4B.   Please let me know if you have any questions.

ORDER-The City of Somerville hereby rescinds its acceptance of the provisions of Sections 59B, 59C and 59D of Chapter 48 of the Massachusetts General Laws, originally accepted by the Somerville Board of Aldermen on March 13, 2008.
