Requesting the authorization of the Veterans Memorial Ice Rink Revolving Fund for Fiscal Year 2011.

To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board authorize the Veteran’s Memorial Ice Rink Revolving Fund for Fiscal Year 2011 under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 44, Section 53E ½.  The services funded include payment for employee salaries, wages and benefits; upkeep of rink facilities including custodial costs; utilities, ordinary maintenance and supplies; and necessary capital expenditures including systems upgrades, replacement and building renovations.

Receipts credited to the fund include ice rink user fees and charges; concession revenues; and advertising fees.  The Fiscal Year 2011 spending limit shall be $380,199.  The authorized officer will be the Recreation Superintendent.
