To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully submits for this Council’s consideration and ordainment an amendment to Sections 2.1.1, 2.4.3, 2.4.4, 4.1.14, 4.2.14, 4.3.14, 4.4.14, 5.1.15, and 6.2.13 of the Somerville Zoning Ordinance to allow for greater adoption of sustainable development elements. This amendment would permit more flexibility for energy saving mechanical equipment and reduce barriers to insulating existing structures.
