To the Honorable Board:
Agenda Item 199105
That the Director of Traffic and Parking consider placing DO NOT ENTER signs at Florence and Pearl Streets and at MacArthur Street and Broadway, for high traffic times.
Turn restrictions must be approved by the Traffic Commission. This Board Order should be submitted to the Traffic Commission for review. The Traffic and Parking department will assess the request and make a recommendation to the Traffic Commission.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking paint bicycle symbols on the bike lanes along Broadway.
The pavement markings along the East Broadway corridor are part of the ongoing construction of East Broadway. This concern will be discussed with the MassDOT Resident Engineer and the contractor.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking address traffic issues at the intersection of Broadway and Mt. Vernon Street.
The traffic signals at the intersection of Mt Vernon St and Broadway are under both the jurisdiction and currently review by MassDOT. When the review is complete, modifications to the timing of the traffic signals at this location will be implemented

That the Director of Traffic and Parking install a SLOW - CHILDREN sign on Kensington Street.
Traffic and Parking will review this street to determine if a Caution Children sign can be installed on this street. If appropriate a Caution Children sign will be installed.

The Director of Traffic and Parking replace the street sign at the corner of Washington and Calvin Streets.
These Street name Blades will be replaced.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking develop a plan for traffic calming and reduction during rush hours on Porter Street between Elm and Summer Streets.
The Director of Traffic and Parking has discussed these concerns with the Ward Alderman.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking repair the damaged NO LEFT TURN sign at Cameron Avenue and Mead Street.
Traffic and Parking conducted a site review of this location. The No Left Turn sign referenced was not damaged and in good condition. This sign does not need to be replaced.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking confirm whether parking is allowed in the middle of the end of Fairmount Street abutting Russell Road, and address installing a NO PARKING sign there.
Parking is not allowed in the middle of the end of Fairmount Street abutting Russell Road. A No Parking sign is not required at this location as any vehicle parking at this location will be issued a parking violation citation.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking replace the missing Hanson street sign at Village and Hanson Streets and install a ONE WAY sign for Hanson Street.
These referenced signs will be installed.
Agenda Item 199271
That the Director of Traffic and Parking re-paint crosswalk striping on Somerville Avenue to distinguish the brick paved pedestrian crosswalks.
The crosswalks on Somerville Ave are scheduled to be re-painted in late summer/early fall.
