To the Honorable City Council:

I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $325,000 from the MBTA, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for public safety support for emergency and first responder services related to the extended bridge closures for the Green Line extension project.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
