To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council approve an appropriation of $78,900 from the Medical Marijuana Stabilization fund [7130] for the purpose of funding a Jail Diversion Clinician within the Police-COHR (Community Outreach, Help and Recovery) Division.
This position is focused on diverting individuals with mental illness and substance use from arrest and helps to identify resources to support recovery.
Appropriate staff will be available to address any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item.
