To the Honorable City Council:

The Mayor respectfully submits for this Council’s consideration and ordainment an amendment to the Code of Ordinances Section 1-11 to approve several traffic fines in excess of $30.00.  It has come to my attention that while the City Council voted on October 24, 2019 (Docket #208518) to approve several traffic fines in excess of $30.00, there was no adopted ordinance approving the fines, as referenced in the Special Act (Chapter 258 of the Acts of 2002).  Therefore, the Law Department recommends that the City Council adopt an ordinance approving the fines, as set forth in the attached ordinance.
