To the Honorable City Council:
I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $100,000 from MA Department of Health to the Health and Human Services Dept, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for costs associated with the Public Health response to COVID 19 pandemic. This is a second grant issued by MDPH to support COVID 19 expenses.
My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
