Requesting to appropriate $450,945 from Undesignated CPA Fund Balance for the preservation and rehabilitation of Temple Bnai Brith per the recommendation of the Community Preservation Committee.

To the Honorable Board:

Per the Community Preservation Committee’s recommendation on March 4, 2015, I respectfully request that your Honorable Board appropriate $450,945 for Temple B'nai Brith to add a fire safety sprinkler system and elevator to the historic 1922 Byzantine Revival building. The appropriation will be allocated to the Historic Resources CPA category and funded from Undesignated CPA Fund Balance.

The Committee attached the following conditions to the recommended appropriation: 1) a perpetual preservation restriction; 2) a public access requirement; and 3) a review and comment session with the Historic Preservation Commission.
