To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of $ 22,460 from MA Emergency Management Agency to the Fire Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. [Matching funds totaling $[amount] have already been appropriated by your Honorable Board.] The purpose of this grant is to purchase a John Deere Gator for use during the many street festivals and city events where access for fire apparatus would be hindered.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
