To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request your approval for the transfer of $15,000.00 within the Police Department, from the Detention Attendants O.M. Account to the Salary and Wages Temporary Account, in order to fund the Matron Salaries.

Currently, the matrons are paid as contractors from Ordinary Maintenance Accounts.

Based on IRS guidance, the position of matron should be recognized as a temporary employee 

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
