To the Honorable Board:
BOA Order #192525...That the Director of Traffic and Parking and the city’s Traffic Engineer attend the February 1, 2012 Senior Services Committee meeting at Properzi Manor to discuss traffic and pedestrian safety in Union Square.
Both the Director of Traffic and Parking and the City Traffic Engineer have attended the Senior Services meeting on 2/1/12.
BOA Order #192529…That the Director of Traffic and Parking investigate the number of accidents at the intersection of Summer and Lowell Streets to determine if corrective action may be needed.
Traffic and Parking will conduct site reviews of the intersection of Lowell and Summer Streets and review the accident history at this location as provided by the Somerville Police Department. A report will be prepared and when complete, it will be forwarded to the B. O. A.
BOA Order #192503 (Traffic and Parking Committee, Section B)…That the Director of Traffic and Parking perform a cost benefit analysis on the proposal to increase visitor passes from 48 to 72 hours and report the findings to the Committee on Traffic and Parking.
The Director of Traffic and Parking will perform the above requested cost benefit analysis and forward the report to the B.O.A.
