To the Honorable City Council:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Council accept and approve expending a grant of $75,000.00 from UASI-OEM to the Police Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds.  The purpose of this grant is to pay for  the Police SRT expenditures and up to fifty percent in backfill and  training overtime.
