To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of $298,280.00 from Department of Mental Health Police Based Jail Diversion Program for Individuals with Mental Illnesses or Emotional Disturbance and Crisis Intervention Team Training & Technical Assistance Centers to thePolice Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for Crisis Intervention Team Training.
