To the Honorable City Council:
I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $239,544.18 from FEMA to the Fire Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant requires matching funds of $23,954.42 from the city which has been budgeted. The purpose of this grant is to pay for Fire Officer training.
My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
