Requesting the acceptance of a gift of equipment, tools, and hardware valued at approximately $130,000 from the Bonney Family, for the city's effort to be carbon neutral by 2050.

To the Honorable Board of Aldermen:

 

The Bonney Family of Somerville has agreed to make a gift to the City of Somerville in the approximate amount of $130,000.00 for the below items to contribute to the city's efforts to become carbon neutral.  

 

(1) Hunter Alignment Rack  

(1) Parker Nitrogen Tire Filling Station

(1) Snap On EVAP Smoke Machine

(1) MotorVac Coolant Cleaning System

(1) MotorVac Transmission Service System

(1) MotorVac Dual Carbon Cleaning System

(2) Porta Power Ram Kits

(1) Hazardous Waste Spill Kit

(1) ATD 37130 Mig Welder (With Tank)

(2) Strut Spring Compressors

(1) Engine Stand

(2) Tall Jack Stands

(1) Transmission Jack

(1) Oxygen / Acetylene Torch Dolly

(1) 55 Gallon Drum Transporter Dollies

(6) Various O-Ring Service Kits

(1) Pneumatic Adjustable Oil Drain Collection System

(3) Bench Vices

(1) Bench Grinder

(1) 12 Ton Shop Press

(1) HD Upright Shop Air Compressor - 100 Gallon - 220V Phase 1 @ 275 CFM

Other various tool kits, service equipment and miscellaneous hardware is being evaluated at this time and a complete list will be furnished when complete.

 

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44, Section 53A, which requires a vote of the Board

of Aldermen for the expenditure of grants or gifts from the federal government and from

a charitable foundation, private corporation, or an individual, or from the Commonwealth,

a county or municipality or agency thereof,  I hereby respectfully request your Honorable Boards's approval to expend the donated funds from the Bonney Family.
