Somerville Board of Aldermen - Supplemental Orders for 5/12/15 Meeting

ORDER                     59. Order

(ID # 14126) By Ald. Niedergang

That the Commissioner of Public Works and/or the City Solicitor report to this Board on efforts to make the Albion Street sidewalk contractor repair the sidewalks or refund the City, and that the Commissioner of Public Works have the sidewalks repaired and report to this Board on when that will happen.

RESOLUTION                     After negotiating with Marchese, the contractor, it was agreed that they would return to the City and fix all the sidewalk panels that were defective. The City Engineer and Highway Superintendent walked the sidewalks and agreed with Marchese which panels needed to be replaced. I was informed by Charlie Quigley, the City Engineer, that as of today (5/24/16) 2/3rds of Albion Street has been completed and the remainder is scheduled through the Engineering Department. This project will be monitored through to its completion. Thank you for your inquiry.
