That fines for code violations assessed pursuant to G. L. c. 148A, for violation of the state building code pursuant to 780 CMR, and the state fire safety code pursuant to 527 CMR shall be subject to collection as a municipal charges lien, pursuant to the authority conferred by Chapter 252 of the Acts of 1996.  (Copy of Chapter 252 of the Acts of 1996 is attached)
