To the Honorable Board:

Agenda Item 199586

That the Director of Traffic and Parking and the Director of the Office of Sustainability and the Environment report to this Board on the design, placement, effectiveness and enforcement of “NO IDLING” signs by all schools.

Traffic and Parking installed the ‘no idling’ signage at the request of the former Shape up Somerville Director, David Hudson. The enforcement of the no idling signage is the purview of the Somerville Police Department.
