Dear Honorable Board of Aldermen:

I would like to respectfully request that your Honorable Board confirm the appointment of Herbert Foster, Jr. as a regular member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for a term to expire on January 31, 2016. 

Mr. Foster has been on the Board since 2000, and in recent years has served as its chair.  His dedicated years of service to the City in this capacity, his experience with the Somerville Housing Authority and his extensive knowledge of the City has made him a valued member of the Board.

As a recent retiree, he will not be a member of the Somerville retirement system.

Please find attached Mr. Foster’s resume for your consideration.
