To the Honorable Board:
Per the Community Preservation Committee’s recommendation, I respectfully request that your Honorable Board appropriate $157,352 from the Community Preservation Act Fund Historic Preservation reserve to the Somerville Museum for rehabilitation of its collection storage area. The appropriation will be allocated to the Historic Preservation CPA category. The following funding conditions have been placed on the project: 1) Where relevant, improvements must be compliant with ADA and MAAB regulations; 3) Upon commencement of the project and as appropriate, the Somerville Museum will post a sign stating that the project was funded through the City of Somerville’s Community Preservation Act program.
