Dear Honorable Board Members:

I hereby request Board of Aldermen acknowledgement and approval of the School Committee’s vote of September 25, 2017 to retain the services of outside counsel to represent the Somerville School Committee in the case of Mary Doe, as mother and next friend of the minor Jane Doe v. Alexandra Romanos and the Somerville School Committee.  The Somerville School Committee unanimously approved the retention of this firm at its meeting on September 25, 2017.

I have attached a proposed Board Order for your review and I am available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.  Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
