To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request an appropriation of $110,000 from the Capital Stabilization Fund to conduct a  Technical Street Light Energy Audit of all of the City's street lights as the first step in the process to convert to LED lighting.

The information obtained from the audit will result in the production of an Audit Report that includes a GIS audit Map Book that demonstrates the Global Positioning (GPS) locations and characteristics of street light inventory data collected in the audit, as well as a preliminary analysis of energy and economic savings opportunities and costs resulting from LED conversion.

My staff is available to discuss with you this most worthwhile project.
