To the Honorable City Council:
I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $1,000 from Tufts University's Neighborhood Service Fund to the Somerville Public Library, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to expand the Somerville Public Library's Citizenship Corner and enhance its circulating collection of materials to assist individuals applying for citizenship in the United States.
My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
