To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council confirm the appointment of Shumeane Benford to the position of Chief of Police.
Per SCO Sec. 10-18(d), attached is a copy of the contract negotiated with the candidate selected by the Mayor, as well as a resume, redacted for public review, and a complete report of those candidates who applied and were deemed less qualified.
