To the Honorable Board:

 

In response to Agenda Items:

 

Agenda Item 205924

That the Director of Traffic and Parking place two pop-up caution signs on Central Street where they have been previously, near Hoyt Sullivan Park and Rogers Foam, one at Vernon Street, the other at the crosswalk near Albion Street.

Pedestrian Impact Recovery Systems will be installed at the above described locations.

 

Agenda Item 205927

That the Directors of Traffic and Parking and SPCD install a bicycle corral in place of the first parking spot on the northeast corner of the intersection of Washington Street and Washington Terrace.

The installation of bicycle corrals is a coordination function between SPCD and DPW.

 

Agenda Item 205928

That the Director of Traffic and Parking re-paint the NO BICYCLING ON THE SIDEWALK markings in Union Square and all central business districts.

The 'No Bicycle' stencils will be re-applied at curbs throughout all Central Business Districts

 

Agenda Item 205930

That the Director of Traffic and Parking add an item to the June Traffic Commission meeting requesting a change of the two 2-hour-parking spaces in front of 483 Somerville Avenue to metered parking spaces.

The above request will be added to the June Traffic Commission agenda.

 

Agenda Item 206001

That the Director of Traffic and Parking install a “THROUGH TRAFFIC FOR ABUTTERS ONLY 7AM-9AM” sign on Governor Winthrop Road at Shore Drive.

Turning prohibitions such as described above are a function of the City’s Traffic Commission.  This turning prohibition request will be added to the agenda for the next Traffic Commission
