To the Honorable Board:

I am requesting approval of the appointment of Dr. Heather MacIndoe, 9 Newberne Street, to the Somerville Commission for Women.

Dr. MacIndoe has been active in Commission work since the summer of 2011, offering her services to the SCW on a volunteer basis to help conduct a community needs survey focusing on women and girls in Somerville. Dr. MacIndoe’s experience in community work and within the academic setting at UMass/Boston will prove quite valuable to the works of the SCW.

My staff will be available should you need more information or have any questions.
