CITATION
Be it hereby known to all that the Somerville Board of
Aldermen and Mayor offer sincerest commendations to
The Little Sisters
of the Poor
On this, the 150th anniversary of their arrival in America.
Just four years after arriving, the Little Sisters established homes
in thirteen communities, including Boston, consecrating themselves totally to the service of the elderly poor.
The Aldermen and Mayor offer their heartfelt gratitude for the work that the Little Sisters do, and offer their best wishes for the ongoing success of their spiritual mission.
