Commending Edward Ciampa for the decades of tireless service he has provided this city.

CITATION

Be it hereby known to all that the Somerville Mayor and

Board of Aldermen offer their sincerest commendations to

Edward Ciampa

In recognition of his decades of service to the community.

A life-long Somervillian, Ed served as School Committee Member

in the 1950s and 1960s, Assessor in the 1960s and 1970s,

City Treasurer and Collector of Taxes in the 1970s, and founding member of the Historic Preservation Commission in the 1980s.

A Korean War veteran, Ed also took on leadership roles in many local charities, including the Lions Club, in his illustrious career.

The Mayor and Membership extend their gratitude and offer

their best wishes for good health and success in all endeavors.
