To the Honorable City Council:
I hereby convey that at the February 23rd Memorialization Committee meeting the Committee unanimously approved to name the Outside Lower Dining Commons at Somerville High School in honor of Ruth Veletta Jones, the first black woman to graduate Somerville High School in 1915.
