To the Honorable City Council:

The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council amend the purpose of the Street Tree Stabilization Fund, under the provisions of MGL 40, Section 5B. Per the Tree Preservation Ordinance, this stabilization fund will be used to accept gifts, donations and mitigation to be used for the purpose of buying, installing, and maintaining street trees, including the removal of existing dead trees to facilitate the planting of new trees and any other tree-related needs.
