To the Honorable Board:

The Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development (OSPCD), in collaboration with the Law Office, is proposing an amendment to the Code of Ordinances to address a series of provisions related to vegetative overgrowth, hazardous trees, wood storage, inoperable vehicles, unregistered vehicles, storage of boats or recreational vehicles, and modifying or adding fines.  This proposed ordinance addresses a number of issues that have long been of concern to your honorable board and myself including allowing overgrowth on a property to harbor rodents and allowing dismantled vehicles to remain on a property where they could be injurious to public health or safety.

Law Office and OSPCD staff will be available to answer any questions you may have concerning this proposed amendment to the Code of Ordinances.

Respectfully submitted,
