To the Honorable City Council:
The Director of Emergency Management respectfully conveys to this Council the 2025-2026 Cummings School Winter Warming Center After Action Report and Improvement Plan.
The Somerville Office of Emergency Management (OEM) conducted a comprehensive After-Action Review and Improvement Plan (AAR/IP). This process included surveys of staff, clients, and residents, as well as a public listening session. While several areas for enhancement were identified, the overwhelming feedback was positive. Participants expressed deep appreciation for the program, pride in the City's commitment to care for those in need, and a strong call for expanded services with increased community involvement moving forward.
