Following the disbanding in late 2019 of the 6-member Bravo bicycle unit that conducted traffic enforcement, that the Chief of Police report to this Council on plans to assign more officers to the Traffic Enforcement Division, to instruct patrol officers to make traffic enforcement a higher priority, and to increase the ratio of payable to warning citations, in order to regain control over our increasingly chaotic streets to enhance public -- and especially pedestrian -- safety.
