I am disturbed by the news that the city of Somerville is attempting to secure by imminent domain the seizure of 429 acres of land around Union Square.

I understand that proposals include turning Ricky's Flower Market, currently the joy of Union Square into a parking lot, among other bad ideas.

This rash and seemingly swift decision by the City of Somerville, without it's citizen's input is appalling.  I ask for a thorough inclusion of those who's lives are affected around Union Square and those in greater Somerville.
