To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of a Rapid Deployment Vehicle, ballistics helmets and sunglassess from OEM to the Police Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This gift does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this gift is  for the Somerville Police Special Response Team to actively respond to high-risk incidents.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
