To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Board appropriate $35,000 from the Capital Stabilization Fund to supplement CDBG funding for the City's Main Streets Organizations, which provide an economic stimulus to the Union Square and East Somerville commercial areas.  Of that amount, $17,500 will go to East Somerville Main Streets, Inc. and $17,500 will go to Union Square Main Streets, Inc.

Thank you for your consideration in supporting these very worthwhile organizations.
