I have received a communication nominating the following individual to the Wage Theft Advisory Committee, to fill a position previously held by Gabriel Camacho, expiring 12/31/2024, as follows.

 

NOMINATION OF: Greater Boston Labor Council; Rachael Running

NOMINEE: Yesenia Alfaro

MEMBER OF: United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) 1445

BACKGROUND: As a business agent for UFCW Local 1445, representing the textile laundries industry in Somerville where 90% of the workforce are residents, Yesenia is deeply invested in addressing wage issues and economic challenges facing our community. Coming from a grassroots background at La Colaborativa, Yesenia is passionate about connecting root causes to policies and ensuring that all workers, especially in non-union settings, understand and assert their rights. As a resident of Chelsea, she is committed to serving and advocating for the labor workers of Somerville.
