To the Honorable Board:

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44, section 53A, which requires a vote of the Board of Aldermen for the expenditure of grants or gifts from the federal government and from a charitable foundation, private corporation, or an individual, or from the Commonwealth, a county or municipality or agency thereof, I respectfully request your approval to expend grant of $25,890 from the Massachusetts Cultural Council for the Somerville Arts Council’s Local Cultural Council grant program.  

These funds are re-granted to the Somerville community, through the LCC program.

The grant award letter is attached for your consideration.
