Requesting authorization to borrow $275,000, and appropriate that amount in a bond, for design services for the renovations of the Winter Hill Schoolyard and Nunziato Fields.

To the Honorable Board:

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of $275,000.00 for the design and renovations of the WinterHill Schoolyard and Nunziato Fields, and authorization for the City Treasurer, with the approval of the Mayor to borrow $275,000.00 to meet said appropriation.

The project includes improvements to Winterhill Schoolyard including playground and outdoor classroom spaces and an artificial turf field. Renovations at Nunziato field will include a natural grass field, general park improvements, and a redesigned dog park.

To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $275,000.00 as provided by M.G.L. Chapter 44.
