To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council convene in Executive Session pursuant to G. L. c. 30A, Section 21(a)(3), to discuss the proposed settlement of opioid litigation involving the Purdue Pharma bankruptcy case. Discussion in the open session of the council meeting may have a detrimental effect on the City of Somerville's litigating position and strategy.
Appropriate staff will be available to address any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item.
